Lisa: maybe this will help
https://liagriffith.com/hand-painted-furniture-using-annie-sloan-chalk-paint/
Hi Lisa,
When I do a project that I've read about online that has several options, I go over each article and write down what each person said - kind of like a pro & con for directions. Then I read a lot more tutorial articles to see what others say. After a while, you'll see that some things seem to be consistent while others might be tips that you can take away from that specific article. Write down any tips then after doing all the research you're comfortable with, evaluate what you've found and plan YOUR method using as many tips as you want. As you read, look for any articles that do a follow-up stating how long ago they did that job and the results they had. As we all know from "pinterest fails", some things work well and some don't. Everyone who writes an article seems to have their own way, but over time you will see consistent methods. Take those, make a decision and get your project done. Wishing you the best.
