I have a wall unit that holds 12 containers for a living wall, I have managed to kill the entire wall. Are there specific plants that will live in these units better than others? I even bought growlights to help it get enough light.Cyndie

Hi Cyndie, Do I take it these wall pockets are indoors, or in a dark outside space?

\i have never had much luck with these outside accept for bedding plants, that as long as you keep them watered will bloom for the season.

No matter what kind of plants you use there needs to be adequate light to help them along.

I think they are a great idea but not really practical. I had two friends who spent hundreds if dollars trying to get them to live. On removed it the other replaced with artificial succulents. Looks pretty good.

There isn't going to be the "perfect" plant without trial and error. Light is the toughest thing to get right. Then comes water. In my house, I water too often at first then neglect them for weeks at a time. My "house" plants spend the summer outside to recover from my horrid care inside. I have several plants that are more than 20 years old, they should be much bigger, but I'm content that they are hanging in there with me.
