Do you think I should lay vinyl floors while I save up for wood?
I want to use vinyl for my floors (living, kitchen and hall ways) also remodel of kitchen. A friend that work in a major home improvement store told me that a lot of customers come with complaints about vinyls floor . First their is smell in the house that end with removing the floor and find mold in the kitchen and around the house. I don’t want to place tile because I want to replace later with wood floors. When I say later means 5-8 years. I don’t have money at this time for wood. Anyone have problems with vinyl or wood floors?

I would just get the vinyl floors for now, it isn't like you're keeping them forever.
What kind of floors do you have now?
Vinyl floors are just fine. Those that complain about mold either are untidy housekeepers or have had some sort of leak that was not properly cleaned up and remediated professionally.
I've never had issues with vinyl floor except once with the peel & stick in a bathroom. The toilet cracked and leaked water which caused them to come up but there was no mold issues. I've never experienced a smell & I've got a "super sniffer".
