We used 2 x 4's to finish our basement. We attached them to each other at 16 inches on center and stood them up then attached them to the beams on the ceiling (the floor of the upstairs) and they stood like that, then covered them with paneling which we later painted. Hope this helps,

I would first be sure its waterproofed, seal the floor and do the walls if necessary.
I used 2x6s and green treated 2x6s for the floor boards just in case of moisture etc.
Hello, the standard is 2"x4" but you can use 2"x 6" for more insulation. Hope this helps you out!
