I would like to find any good ideas on how to control earwigs and squashbugs by killing overwintering eggs and insect. I know to clean up debris, but is there any product that I could work into the soil that would help?

Dec 15, 2016 - One of the very simplest ways to quash overwintering bugs is to work out where they're hiding and bring them to the surface. The best way to do this at ground level, particularly around fruit trees and bushes, is to rake up and remove fallen leaves, before turning over the top few inches (5-10cm or so) of soil.

diatomatious earth, is at any Home Depot or Lowes, and it is crushed shells and will dry out and kill any soft bodied bugs. We use it on ALL tomatoes, the garden, flowers, and around the garden and along any entry into your home. You may also use cream of wheat, dry and uncooked, to feed ants and they bloat and die.

You can use a very safe. Food Grade product called, diatomaceous earth. It's product that kills several types of insects. It's comprised of dead coral, from dead/dry sea beds. It works really well
