Will potted chrysanthemums regrow if planted in the ground?

Can potted chrysanthemums still be planted in the ground and will they come up again in Spring?

    You can try, but don't get your hopes up. A friend had decent results with this but I would not rely on it.

    Sometimes they do, most of the time they don't.

    Some varieties do return. Others don't.

    Like William said....some varieties come up every year and some do not. The tag on the pot of mums should tell you. Most of the ones sold in the fall do not seem to come up but the ones you buy in the spring are more apt to be the kind that come up every year (perennials).
