Try vinegar. Really any kind of solvent with enough elbow grease will do it.

I've used Super Clean Degreaser for quite a while now, you spray it on and let it sit for about 5 min. or longer if there's a build-up of grease then wipe it off. You'll find it in the automotive area of Wal Mart and for how easy it makes the job it's really nicely priced. I occasionally use turmeric which is known for staining and it gets on my counter top sometimes. All I need to do is spray it on and wipe it off, no stain at all and it smells pretty good too for a degreaser. If you want to try it just Google it and see all the uses it has, it's an amazing product. It also come in a foam which I've not used yet. If you'd like to check it out further just go to superclean.com and see all the uses it has.

Use Purple Power or Krud Kutter from Walmart of Home Depot. Both work well.
