Can you put laminated flooring over carpeting?

    No Elaine, you cannot put laminate flooring over any kind of carpeting. You are going to have to remove the carpeting. You will also want to check the instructions for any laminate flooring you purchase to see what kind of sub floor is recommended under your laminate. Hopefully you won't have to add any sub floor to what is under your carpet.

    You won’t be happy with it. It won’t be sturdy and the planks will likely start to pop apart when they shift on the carpet.
