If they have been burned enough to damage the surface, then replace them. They are only about $6.00 a set at WalMart. They also sell aluminum liners for a couple dollars that are made to fit. Those will save a lot of mistakes.

I used to use an SOS scouring pad to clean my electric stove burner bowls. It got most of the burned on food off and they looked good.

Spray or pour white vinegar onto the surface and then sprinkle baking soda onto the vinegar. It will fizz a bit, then scrub the mixture with a steel wool pad or a mesh scrubby. That should remove most of the gunk. Wash with dishwashing soap and rinse. If needed you can repeat or then try a Mr. Clean Magic eraser for the very last of the grime. Rinse well. .

Put them in a bucket, do not stack. Pour in a little dawn dish soap and bottle of amonia. then enough water to cover. Set outside a few hours or overnight. Should only have to rinse or light scrub. This will only be necessary for burnt on junk. I clean once a week, so the above is not needed often. For weekly, spray on original Krud Kutter concentrate. Let is soak a few minutes, then wash.
