How can I remove protective coating off stove control knobs?
We didn't realize the control knobs for our Electrolux stove had a protective plastic on them. Now, they look like they're scratched when really it's the plastic protective coating that is scratched. How do we get the coating off as it seems to be fused onto the knobs now (after 10 years!)

Take the knobs off and soak in some hot water and vinegar and see if that works. Consider buying new knobs from the manufacturers website.
Try nail polish remover, Goo Gone, WD40, or ammonia.
Try to scratch the corner with a tooth pick to start the edge so it won’t scratch
