Which way do I hang a bathroom mirror in an off-center bathroom?

Which way does this mirror need to be hung?! Have been DIYing this small bath with limited/fixed income, hence, with low budget, moving slow @ times (55+ Grandmother). Planned to replace, builder-grade, light fixture (any ideas on that-appreciated) due to being downright old, uncentered, & rusted. So, the vanity & light not centered so when I go to hang mirror vertically, I notice the unevenness big time! Turn horizontally & not as bothersome but husband & grandson (7), both, state that it doesn't 'go like that'! Help resolve dilemma please! TIA

Janet...Actually it can go either way but if it looks more even and centered horizontally you can just use that way!

What do you mean pin up lamps? Did YOU wire in? Economically done is way to go... My favorite! P. S. 85 huh? My hero! Thank you!

Guys are weird that way 🙄😂😂. Hang it up, step out of the room then walk in . Does it bother you? You can always pick up another one, bigger is better. Goodwill is a great source, maybe not the first time you go in, but at some point you’ll find a good one! Maybe not the correct color but don’t let that stop you! Spray paint is your friend! Just make sure the mirror suits your needs as well as aesthetically!

Oh, no I don't do any wiring in wall, but I can wire a lamp. Good luck on your project.

Best way to hide something is to put it in clear sight. Add lots of mirrors of different sized and shapes, so the eye does not focus on only the one!
