Hi Laquista,
I wash mine every week or two. If you have a lot of people in your home using the shower, wash it weekly with the towels. Put it in the dryer for about 2 minutes to soften the curtain, the pull it out, keeping it straight to prevent wrinkles and rehang immediately. Wishing you the best.
Is your shower curtain solid vinyl, or vinyl coated fabric?
If the former, do not put it in the dryer.
I believe Linda is referring to the outer fabric curtain, not the plastic liner, which some folks use as their only shower 'curtain'.
I hang the plastic liner inside out so the hem is on the outside next to the fabric curtain. That way water and other grime is not caught in the little seam where the hem is. I do also put it in the wash every once in a while. Just a couple of minutes in the dryer to get out the wrinkles.Hang it up right away.
Make sure the room has proper ventilation. It also helps to leave the shower curtain closed after a shower so it has room to dry, instead of leaving it all bunched up.
Wash it regularly.
After each use, on the opposite wall of the shower curtain, use a suction cup with a clothes pin attachment-dollar store, and clip it up, water will run off and it will dry quickly, clip it in the middle hem of the shower curtain. If still a problem, wash it with towels and hang to dry.
