How do I paint a concrete floor?
We need to paint the floor of our fellowship hall at church. Right now it is rough concrete. Can it be painted with regular latex paint? We need the most economical (cheapest) way to do it.

Just as you would prep for any paint project, you need to clean, dry, prime, then paint with specially formulated paint for concrete. Do not cut corners or it will start to chip and peel in a matter of weeks. Go to a proper paint store like Sherwin Williams or Dunn Edwards. Their staff is well trained and can guide you through each step.

Ask for acid paint that etches itself into the concrete!
Make sure you get paint especially intended for concrete floors. Regular paint may peel and wear down.
get paint with primer in it already alot easier
