My love affair with rustoleum was a result of painting metal entry doors, if the current doors have the currant paint in good condition, wash with tsp, do a stain blocking primer, then do the top coat. A tip from a painter friend...primer can be tinted to match the top coat. If the paint on the doors is loose try to get the loose bits off before painting.
Rustoleum spray paint works great. I've have fantastic results using their white appliance paint on doors. It's been on my metal entry door for well over 5 years now and it still looks great and is super easy to keep clean.
