Fall Wreath

Last year I decided to change my color combination for fall and instead of using my usual oranges, yellows, golds and browns I decided to use black and white and metallic colors. So when it came to a wreath for the front door I had to make something a little different.
I came up with this black and white chevron stripe burlap ribbon wreath to blend in with the rest of the black and white decor on the entryway.
I decided to use this plastic silver tray I had picked up from Dollar Tree some time ago and see what I could come up with.
I began by painting the center of the tray with black chalkboard paint. Then I started gluing the chevron burlap ribbon to the tray. This took a bit of time and I had to play with it a little and glue it in different areas to get the results I wanted.
Then I cut the letter "C" out of a piece of scrap foam core I had and wrapped it with twine. It was easy - just took a little time.
I glued a loop of twine to the back to hang it with and here it is. I love how it turned out. For more details please follow the URL below.
