There are several options you have if you would like to stain something red, depending on whether you want it really red or more of a red wood color...if that makes sense! If you like the real red color, you can look at Minwax colors. The best selection is at Sherwin Williams stores, they have several red options in their waterbased stains such as Crimson, Spice and Burgundy. Varathane makes a really pretty stain in Barn Red. And my favorite way to make red stain is to just use red paint and mix in a little water, turns it into a stain!
Now if you are looking for more of a redwood type stain, you can look at Minwax Sedona Red, Red Chesnut, Red Mahogany or Red Oak! Hope this helps!
