How can I make new brick look "older" to match the brick on the house?

Trying to match old brick on house in order to make walkway. Can i mix white paint and water to whitewash? If so, what kind of paint is best?

Try painting Old English dark scratch remover on one brick - let it soak in and dry - then use
Kilz to rub and dry brush - see if you can come up with an effect that pleases you - sometimes you just have to experiment until you come up with a special treatment - I have tried no other - Good Luck!

Hi Connie,
I white washed faux brick using latex paint and water. I would suggest that you try any exterior white latex paint that you have, but mix it with extra water, just in case. Then when you actually paint it, tap the brush almost dry on a rag, paper towels or even newspaper. Use the brush like a dry brush to hit the high spots. You can also study the look of the old bricks and work to duplicate one of those. I hope this helps you. Here's my project. Wishing you the best.
