How do I fix a butcher block counter top that was oversanded?
How do I fix a butcher block counter top. I put a first coat of poly acrylic and used an orbital sander the sander destroyed the finish and stain with the 220 grit sand paper?

Is there a special reason for using poly on your butcher block? I ask because the surface will scratch and you will have to redo the entire thing eventually. If you oil it and do regular maintenance, it will always look beautiful, with very little effort.
