    Hi Lourdes,

    Our local fruit market uses red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar for a trap. I do the same thing. Simply put some of the vinegar in a glass or a jar, stretch a piece of plastic wrap across the top, then secure it with a rubber band. Poke holes in the plastic wrap (I used a toothpick). The fruit flies will go in but won't be able to get out and will die in the glass. They should all go away once you've used the fruit that is very ripe. They tend to be attracted to ripe or overripe fruit - some fruits more than others. Wishing you the best.
