Blended French Dresser Makeover
A dresser gets a total transformation using a blend of blue paints!
This dresser was such a fun project I can’t wait to share it with you! If you’re a newbie to refinishing furniture, make sure you prep the dresser for paint well. You
First I sanded the top and stained it in dark walnut.
Time to paint! I applied the darker color around the edges, and then applied the lighter blue in the center.
Water helps the chalk paint blend. Spray your brush before blending. Blend in long, light strokes. Keep blending until its as smooth as you desire.
Here is the dresser all blended!
You want to protect your piece, so add a coat of Polycrylic on top and on the body.
I also cleaned, sprayed and sealed the hardware. I chose black to give contrast to the blue.
Here is the completed dresser! Isn't the blue so much better?
