If you have bad infestation problem - talk to the veterinarian. They have pills that work really well. They also have the treatment that goes on the back of their neck. I don't use they regularly but keep them on hand, as I have had to use them once. Then vacuum 2 times a day to capture the fleas and their eggs. Empty out every time - do not leave bag in vacuum - it will breed them.

Diatomaceous Earth is great for dogs and it won't hurt children either. You can get it at a farm supply store. It is a powder and to use it put some in an empty spice or baby powder bottle (or the like). As you pet the animal just 'comb' the hair against the way it grows and sprinkle the DE on it as you go. Do the complete body and rustle the fur around so that all spaces are covered. This is great stuff. Google it and you'll see.

Diatomaceous Earth is great for any type of bugs & insects.

In fact spread it throughout your yard. And on the thick side closer to your home and where your pets go.

We do this once every two to three years to keep the fleas and other bugs down. In fact some of your all natural products for your pets and farm animals have D Earth mixed in as a wormer paste.

If you haven't kept up on flea control now is the time!

You MUST wash all baseboards and floors. Vacuum and dispose of the contents outdoors. Wash and dry all pet bedding, toys, etc, in hot hot. You may even have to Bug Bomb your home to keep fleas from attacking YOU.

Yes, asap call your vet for rx pills for the dogs. Pricey but extremely effective and will stop things from becoming worse such as mange, hot spots, etc. Don't let the dogs suffer!
