How do I frame, attach, and decorate a folding door?

I plan to use one side of a folding door. Not sure how to frame, attach the door and if I need to add an additional back or if it is possible to tile or paint the backside of the drywall on the far side.

I had an area where someone busted the bathroom wall. We are planning on a complete renovation so I took it out to the studs on each side and down to the brace. Added a pretty contact paper to the back side of the sheetrock on the other wall and the studs. I probably should add trim but didn't. You can definitely paint the backside of the drywall because my kids hung some drywall "backwards" at their home. It painted just fine. Can't tell it from regular. Tile would need cement board so I would steer clear of that solution.

    Hi Dj,

Here are some directions about how to build the frame. Be sure to scroll down to see the details. This article seems to stop short, but it actually has a lot of detail. Wishing you the best.
