How long would cuttings last during the fall and winter months?

Question

We're entering Fall soon here in the east as well as the entire country, but some Fall weather varies depending where one lives. I recently made cuttings of a Dragon Wing Begonia and mixtures of coleus's, because I was told to do if I want the same plants for next Spring. Obviously they are to be grown indoors till Spring, if they last that long. By the same token, why won't the 'adult' plants do just as well when brought indoors, and forget about making cuttings?

I have brought my coleous inside for the winter for two years and it does fine. I keep it in a bright spot but no direct sun.

Hi Anthony,

You can do both. Do some cuttings just in case the parent plant doesn't make it. You should be able to grow coleus indoors with the right light and care. Hopefully this article will help. Wishing you the best.

Thank you for the Coleus info, now if someone can respond to my more favorite, 'Dragon Wing Begonias'. So far Google only says how to tend to it during Summer and making cuttings.
