I find using Houzz's tool to view modern decor the best for getting ideas.... but in general I would say the decor is very monochromatic and finishes can have high gloss or natural material accents.... here is one I ran.... https://www.houzz.com/photos/modern-living-space-ideas-phbr1-bp~t_717~s_2105 viewing many photos will give you ideas.... also less is more in a modern decor - no clutter
