I have lamp shades that are falling apart and would like to redo them is that possible and how can I do it easily

Mary...Remove old shade and wrap wide wired ribbon from top to bottom. Looks really pretty...may have to use a little glue to hold in place from time to time. Have seen this done in Christmas ribbon, patriotic ribbon, fall, etc. Good luck
