Which is the best quality paint for old tongue & groove wood siding?

Need to paint old wood siding and want to know from the pros the best paint that last the longest and not he $100 a gallon kind.

For old wood, I would use a good primer first. Behr makes a good paint to go over it. Without the primer you will spend many times more repainting it to cover it. It would come to as much or more than the $100 a gallon paint without the primer.
