Which perennials should I plant in a small west-facing flower bed?

What perennials to plant in a small flower bed facing west?I live in Indiana, and the Sun shines very hot in the afternoon during the summer.

    Check the site: High Country Gardens. Plug in all your filters, answer some questions and they'll give you a list of all the perennial candidates that will thrive in your area. You don't have to buy from them, but their plants have never disappointed - and they are guaranteed. They also have video tutorials for planting and maintenance. The best thing, though, is you sometimes find plants that aren't offered at a nursery.

    Zinnias are great in full sun and very pretty. But since we are moving into fall, I'd go with mums.
