How can I make over a large popcorn ceiling?

Nicolette....I would suggest you Google and watch some of the videos showing removing the popcorn....they make it look so easy. They also show you tools that help with the job. Good luck!

Or you can buy a spray texture in a can to match the ceiling Home Depot sells it.
If you want to repair the spot, there are kits at home improvement stores. We did that after a minor earthquake caused ours to crack. Or you can wet an area and remove it by scraping it. If we did it over, we would do like our neighbors and duct tape the scraper to the hose of a wet/dry vacuum to collect the scrapings as we worked. Then we just painted it. It looked like a planned textured ceiling!
