How do I find out about "building" on an idea seen here?

Would this idea work? - Expand (or lengthen) this to about 20-25 cups on a string of ( ? maybe Christmas-tree-type ?) lights on a patio?

Normally, the best thing to do is to ask the creator of the project using the Ask feature. However, with a project like this, it's DIY so you can adjust it to fit your needs. If the project that Cheryl found is the one or similar to the one you found, you can add as many cups as you wish. Wishing you the best.
