How do I get a high gloss finish when painting my mirror?

Hi Beverly. The shine off paint is only as good as the lighting in the room. Perhaps if you increase the lighting in your room it will help with the shine. The cabinets that have a truly mirror-like finish usually have an acrylic skin.

I agree with Nan. Three coats of a water based high gloss polyurethane. Dries clear, does not yellow over time. Oil based has a yellow cast ti it and does yellow over time.
