How can I make flowers using plaster of paris?

    You can make a thin mixture of plaster of paris and dip artificial flowers into the mixture until the flower at the top is coated. Being careful, lift the plaster-covered piece upward and place into a piece of styrofoam until it is dry. You can smooth any rough edges with an emery board (go gently).

    Hi Linda. I'm Cindy. Purchase silk flowers (from the Dollar Tree). A little goes a long way. Dip the flowers into your plaster of Paris and then set aside to dry on parchment paper.. I saw a project where old jars (like from Rago, pickles, jelly, etc.) were cleaned and labels off and then painted, both jar and lid. These dipped flowers were glued on to the lids. They were being used in a bathroom and looked really nice. Good luck Linda.
