We bought the tallest bookshelves we could find and filled the wall with as many that would fit. Bought enough baskets to go from side to side and placed on top. Once everything was filled, the sounds from next door ( screaming all night baby) were muffled greatly.

Try hanging fabric on the wall. It will help some.
Our life saver for many, many years has been our noise machine on white noise setting. Or a fan even in the winter.
