How to make house numbers
Hi Mary, there are oh so many ways......here's a bunch of ideas.

You can buy wooden numbers in craft stores, along with little bottles of paint in whatever color goes with your house. Choose a wood backer board, and use glue to attach the numbers to the board. Then you'll only need to attach the board to your front door area, instead of attaching all the numbers individually (unless you only have one number in your address!)
A friend found a nice big rock (a small boulder, really) and painted their house number on the rock and placed it at the foot of their driveway. Or it could be next to the front entrance.
I confess to taking the easy way out and buying a metal plaque with a brass number. A little bit expensive, but many years later, it's still holding up to the weather.
