How can I disguise an old A/C wall unit?

I have an old non-working a/c unit in my bedroom wall and need some ideas of how to disguise it being that I cannot remove it w/o construction. It sits 6’ above the floor and is above my bed.Any ideas? Thanks
Artwork or incorporate it behind a shelf or headboard.
Hang a curtain rod above it with a tapestry on it. The rod will keep the tapestry hanging away from the wall, so it will hang straight.
Good idea, now to find a tapestry...
