My daughter has the most adorable dog named Gizmo and he loves his dog toys, like most dogs! Most toys don’t last long, but she couldn’t bare throwing this one out in the trash. So here is what we did with it!

Gizmo and Gumbie.

Gizmo getting to know Gumby.

And then . . .

Instead of throwing it all in the trash, we found an old board.

Then, we sanded the board and rummaged in my “good, but used” pile and found an old nail to attach Gumby’s head to the board.

Next, we took a paint pen and wrote Beware of Dog. We also sprayed a matte sealer all over the entire sign when we were done because it was going to be out in the weather.

And hung it up to “warn” would be intruders. I love that something that most of us would throw away was used it in a humorous way!
