How do I clean the bee guard on my hummingbird feeder?

I have a hummingbird feeder. .what is the best way to clean the bed guard. .I tried tooth brush and soaking them. .doesn't look clean enough to me. . Any ideas. Would appreciate . Thanks. .

If they look like they may have some mold on them soak them in vinegar and then use a toothbrush and some dish soap. That's what I do.
Try soaking it in a denture cleaner tablet and water.

My thought is "but does it look clean enough for the humming bird?" I do agree with Gk's idea of soaking it in vinegar. You could also sprinkle some baking soda on the spots then add the vinegar. Once it stops fizzing, then you could add a little water with some Dawn (known to be safe for birds) and soak it as Gk suggested. I hope that extra little tip helps you. Wishing you the best.
