Our neighbors painted theirs with exterior paint and rollers on an extension pole. You can get extension poles in the painting section of your local home improvement store. They home looks great!
Make sure the paint you get will adhere to metal siding. We lived in a mobile home for 31 years and only had to paint ours once. It held up well because we made sure the paint was appropriate for the surface.
