We had a pop up camper and fixed our screens. We bought the screen at a home improvement store (not the wire kind, but the soft kind) and to simplify it, sewed it on OVER the existing one, then cut the torn part off. It worked great and we did not have to undo any of the canvas to repair the screens. If you attach it with fish line along the edge of the canvas the repair does not show. HOpe this helps

We did the same thing as DesertRose. It never had to be repaired again. And we sold the camper 12 years later for more than we paid for it.

I would also do the same as answered above , by screening ( non metal ) and hand see it over the existing screen . Good luck !
