    I have read somewhere that you put apple cider vinegar in a bottle then put saran wrap with holes in it for the cover.The flies supposedly go in but can't get out.Hope this works for you!

    i just get a clean jar, like jelly or pickle jar, cut some holes in the lid and pour some apple cider vinegar in, screw lid on and sit it on counter or kitchen window Give it a day or so and you’ll see the annoying little devils floating around It’s certainly helped get them from my kitchen.     Thanks so much for the tips. I had used soda, wine & beer in a dish with plastic wrap & it worked bet took a long time.... 5+ days. I’d not tried the apple cider vinegar. It was great!!! Fast as well. They seemed to almost swarm around it & fight to get in first. Muwahahahaha, it was a perfect trap! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

    Fill a microwave-safe bowl with apple cider vinegar and a few drops of dish soap. Microwave the bowl so the mixture becomes even more aromatic. Leave the bowl out uncovered as fruit fly bait. The soap will reduce the surface tension, causing any fruit fly that lands on the surface to drown.
