Should I use extra glue to hold contact paper into place on the floor?
Does it hold up on the floor ?

I don't think I would add glue that stuff is pretty tacky and you need to get the air bubbles out as you lay it....I would use polyurethane at least twice after you lay the paper......also you have to take into consideration what is on the floor before you begin any bumps or unevenness will show through the contact paper..... I might try a small area a bigger area will definitely be cumbersome....good luck
Contact paper is not really suitable for the floor. If the floor has the slightest bump the contact will tear. I have seen it done a few times without success.
Wouldn't last an hour in my house. Think twice.
