Thanks! We will give painting it a try. It is great quality grass cloth, but when we started to take it off, the plaster came as well. We will tack it up and paint.
Use fabric softener and water. Spray on wall paper let sit about 5 minutes, then use a paper tiger and it will come down easily.. Lif Keli said it also looks great painted. Just clean off the dust and grime with Dawn and water, rinse well, let it dry and prime and paint.

If you don't want to remove, it looks awesome painted. We put up grass cloth just to paint because of the texture. Make sure you Prime it first.
