i'm trying to clean up, too. get a bunch of boxes, or even hula hoops. mark out somewhere where you can put related items in one spot. get all of the related items together, and then sort through them. Duplicates? Need them? Keep. No - donate box.
Half bottles of paints? Can you mix them? Are they dried out? Toss. Getting down to what will be useful instead of taking up space is good. Then sort by priority - keep what you constantly use handy. Box and label what will be used, but not as frequently. decide how you want to have things stored - Seasonal, Flowers, Beads, Paper, Cloth, Color - whatever will get you to what you are looking for.
Depending on size of your room and what crafts you do - Dedicated table with electrical
outlet nearby for glue guns and /or lights.

comfortable chair or standing pad.
haunt yard sales for big bookcases/file cabinets to store craft books or plans.
this is supposed to be a joyful place, not stressing you out. be happy.
I purged a lot and then started organizing. I hung a big piece of pegboard on the wall. I can hang scissors, ribbon, and so much from it. It really saved a lot of space.
I'm with the other's; sort, purge, labelled boxes or bins. If you have a stash of large material pieces-use heavy coat hangers(wood) to hang it in closet OR fold and put on bookcase. If you have a lot of small paint bottles build a cabinet with shelves big enough for bottles, and place laying on side, by color with top in toward wall. Beads? zip locks and file in box with similar items together. I bought a couple of small plastic cabinets on wheels and sorted my jewelry things in drawers, in baggies. Sterlite at WalMart.
