Hi Vilma. Unfortunately the color has probably penetrated into the linoleum. Use this method only if it's a light color floor covering. Give this trick a go and see if it will at least lift some of the color out. Go to a beauty supply store and purchase pure hair bleach. Use the 20 volume. Pour the bleach on the spot* and cover it with plastic wrap make sure there is no air getting to the hair bleach. Allow it to sit for at least 24 hours. Pull back the plastic and take a look. It should bleach out the rust color. If may not get it out completely, but will lighten it significantly.

*Only cover the spot with a thin layer. Wipe up any excess bleach from the surrounding area.

Try WD40 and a clean cloth or paper towel. A dab of white toothpaste on a damp toothbrush. Let the toothpaste foam up while gently brushing. Large spots use a damp cloth.
