I think it can be used but I would avoid putting it in "splash zones" like next to the toilet. It won't clean easily and could absorb odors. Used as an accent, it should be fine.

Because grasscloth can show watermarks and is easily stained by many products like soap, hairspray, cleaning agents, etc, I wouldn't use grasscloth wallpaper in a bathroom. If you really like the look (I do), then you could use it and apply a coat of poly over it. I have painted grasscloth and loved the results. Good luck!

I've used in bathroom ; in wetter areas definitely needs to be sealed with matte or semi gloss polyurethane or marine grade valspar. The high gloss/gloss sealer will give it real shiny look, not natural at all, you'll loose the whole feel of using the natural grass cloth. make sure it not only dries but cures between coats so it is properly sealed it will last for ever. also some type of water proof adhesive to handle the high humidity so it will not peel off. good info. https://totalwallcovering.com/blog/the-absolute-beginners-guide-to-grasscloth-wallpaper/
