Once the platform covers the tub, what do you intend to use the space for?
To access it will require crawling up on to it, and the triangle in the corner will still be lost inefficient space.
Considering the cost of purchasing lumber, plus the tools and materials required to finishing the platform, I would say, just remove the jaccuzzi altogether. Then you will have genuine floor space to put furniture, appliances, racks, storage units, etc.
Cut the tub apart with a reciprocating saw and in about ½ hr the white elephant will be gone.
Is it an inside or outside unit. Out side units have covers available. They keep out leaves, ducks, and keep the heat in.
Call Manufacturer as you can buy them, or use /tarpaulin. You could always fashion it to fit using a Sewing Machine or Eyelets and Bungee Cords.
