Another option: DYE it. Years go, i had a local carpet cleaning company to DYE some ugly carpet in a commercial space i was renting. It came out great and was not too expensive.

I painted 2 Costco outdoor carpets using Rust-Oleum spray paint, in May. One is a 8x10, other smaller. I hung on my clothesline, only needed to spray one side. Dried quickly.They are on my deck , totally exposed to weather, since then, no flaking and hardly any fading. I used a blue to match my umbrella.
