If they are small, they make great decoration like above a divider above a door or opening into a larger room or even on the side wall in a dining or breakfast room. I think they add a homey feel to a room. Also, if possible you might consider adding air plants or a container int he wicker with succulents or something to add a little more color and home decor.

You can add fake flowers or ornamental objects in them. They can be used by themselves up on a shelf or cabinet top. They can be used to store stuff under a sofa table of another cabinet with shelves.
I really depends on their size. If they're larger you could use them for storing throws or blankets, or towels in a bathroom. If they're small they would be great for dresser top storage.
