1 cup of vinegar with 3/4 cup of blue Dawn dish soap is a great soap. Heat it 1 minute in the microwave and with a face mask and the fan on, apply it to the shower walls. Leave it half an hour or more and use a squeegy (like they use on windows) to rub it in and rinse it off and use the rubber side to clean it all off the glass. You will be amazed! It only takes 5 minutes of actual cleaning. The vinegar and dishsoap does all the work! OR you can get a battery scrubber at Walmart in the cleaning department. They used to have Turbo Hurricane cleaners, but now Walmart has their own, it is a battery operated scrubber that is also very easy but a little pricey at $39.97 or so.

Sometimes the stains turn out to be permanent etching on the glass. The minerals in the water can do that. I know I had a glass shower door that I just couldn't get clean and that was the reason. Ended up taking it down and putting up a shower curtain instead.

I would use CLR. It is designed to remove calcium, lime, and rust. A believe in having a water softener to eliminate minerals that contribute to stains. A cheap method is is buy a squeegee and wipe the glass down after last shower of the day. Once you get the glass clean, rub auto paste wax onto the glass and buff dry. The wax will help repel the water.

Try a glass scraper on the shower door to remove the soap scum build up. Then use one of the other suggested methods to get rid of any residue that is left.
