How can I repaint a kitchen counter?

How do I paint at kitchen counter . Mine is old and I thought I could spray paint it somehow. Any advise I would greatly appreciate.

You can also buy resurfacing kits. I believe Rustoleum makes one.

You can follow this exact process for laminate. Lightly sand countertops before and add a bonding primer.

I just completed painting my kitchen countertops with a Giani Slate Countertop kit. It turned out absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! I definitely recommend this product.

I have used Giani and it looks nice, but it cautions against leaving water on it. What countertop doesn't get wet?
