How can I make a swing in to a glider?

This HUGE 'porch' swing has great sentimental value for my husband and I... long story. I wanted to make an A frame for it in the yard to swing on it. I think I've changed my mind.

Can I make this bench 'swing' into a glider? I know somebody out there in DIY land knows... please share with me.

I can't find exact plans for what you want to do but the two above ideas may help. Also if you know someone who is good with wood, maybe they can do this for you. Good luck
